Mandy and Shirley take roles as cats in this week’s sharing in English. Mandy is Bob, from the book and the movie A Street Cat Named Bob; and Shirley is another cat interviewing Bob.

SHIRLEY: Hello welcome to the "Human Observation" program. Today we have invited a special guest. This is the only cat starring in human movies on our cat planet. Here’s Bob.

Mandy: Hello everyone I’m Bob the cat in the movie "A Street Cat Named Bob". ln June last year, I died in the human world, ending a fourteen-year journey of inquiry.

SHIRLEY: Well I have watched your movie before. The story about James Bowen and you is very touching! Can you tell me more stories about you? What did you think when you first saw him?

Mandy: When I saw him for the first time he was a homeless man but he took me in and spent a week's meal money to buy medicine for me. At that time, I thanked him very much. Since then we have not been homeless anymore. We are family for each other.

SHIRLEY: Oh I think you are more like his family than his father. I saw in the movie that his father's actions were really heartbreaking. His son was wandering outside but he was enjoying himself in the mansion. His stepmother disliked him and refused to let him go home. The stepmother's daughter even called him "poisonous insect"

Mandy: Yes, I stood on his shoulders and accompanied him to go home. It was on New Year's day. He was driven home by his family expectantly. He could only take drugs alone. I really wanted to chat with him at that time, but I couldn't do anything.

SHIRLEY: Speaking of standing on his shoulders, remember he lead you on the street. A woman joked: "What a cute cat, I can eat you in one bite." James Bowen was very serious about comforting you with this joke "she is joking". What a gentle person!

Mandy: Yes he is a gentle person. Although he was not rich at the time we were very happy. During the day we performed together and at night we hugged each other. Slowly we became famous. He also quit drugs and we moved into a big house and the movie "A Street Cat Named Bob" appeared.

SHIRLEY: This is really a touching story. After you became rich you did not become a profit-seeking person like James’ father. You have been focusing on the problem of stray animals, even if you are back to Cat Planet.

Mandy: Yes this is our common wish. I hope there are fewer and fewer stray animals in this world. I hope I can meet him in my next life, my friend James Bowen

SHIRLEY: Okay thank you very much for sharing. I believe you will meet him again. See you next time.

Mandy: Bye-bye.
